We Hope to see you all in Wendover for the 2010 Father's Day Weekend Show at the Rainbow!!

Fathers Day Weekend Car Show 2009 Wendover Nevada

Wow! These Cruisers are like the U.S. Postal Service, not rain, nor sleet, nor dark of night can stop them from having a good time! We are pretty certain that both Rain-X and Meguiar’s were unofficial sponsors of this Father’s Day Weekend but the weather did little to dampen anyone’s spirits. Our favorite overheard comment of the weekend was “This is no way to run a desert!”

Cruisers will have a good time regardless of any factor but a gas shortage. Speaking of fuel, we would like to thank the Banana Stand for the race gas that helped us get through the weekend. Combine that with J.C.Hackett pounding out the Oldies and there is almost no way you can keep your feet from dancing away from you.

We are very pleased with Courtney’s poker run photos. She set up out at Bonneville and got as many of you as possible as you came by. With such a fantastic backdrop and such beautiful machines there was no way those photos were not going to be fantastic. I was so please with them; I couldn’t decide which ones to keep so I kept them all!

Now before we turn you loose to enjoy all the photos we would like to thank a few people. A big thank you goes out to our new friends at Maxed Out Racing for the use of their shelter during the rain storm. Check out their site We Did It For Love; it’s the biggest collection of vintage drag racing media on the net! We would also like to thank the management at Wendover Raceway for giving us the track access we needed to bring you our race photos. The Vigilantes Car Club Ford Falcon ran an eight second quarter and was a dream to watch! Chad Bangerter of CBRodz was the first person ever to run a twin engine car on that track and a GIANT thank you to Bill Strickland for letting Courtney join him for his ten second pass!

We would also like to thank John Hanson and his staff for their hospitality. The entire event staff did a fantastic job and kept a great attitude despite the less than perfect weather and their lack of libations from the Banana Factory. We would also like to personally thank John for selecting us as his award pick for 2009, it is a great honor and we are grateful for the recognition. Finally, we would like to thank all of you who visit thanks2frank. We love what we do and the people we do it with.
