Skip Talbot's 1967 SS Camaro
We at Team Frank would like to thank Skip Talbot, from STDMotorsports for sending in our very first viewer photos. We must say we cant think of a better way to start off the viewer photos that with this no bullshit 1967 SS Camaro. We sent Skip a return email asking him if he could tell us a bit more about the car and he came through in spades, here is his reply.
I bought the car 10 years ago, when I was 16! Since then the car has had several different motors! Currently I am running a 350 bored 30 over to a 355. It has eagle h-beam rods an eagle crank, it is a full roller motor (all roller parts are crane)! It is an 8.2 to 1 motor with JE pistons. It has trick flow r-series big port heads and the entire motor is studed! It is topped with an 8-71 supercharger and 2 Holley 650's that are boost referenced! The trans is a turbo 400 with a reverse valve body and a trans brake. The rear has a ratcheting locker and 4.10 gears. It makes for a pretty fun street car. The wheels are 20" on the rear and 18" on the front; they are Boyd Coddington Junk Yard Dogs. Here in the near future I am putting on rear disk brakes and hopefully get a hood on it! The car is all steel and I have all the original equipment to bring it back to stock!
Thats one hell of a Camaro you have there Skip and we thank you for sharing it with us. Send us a new photo once you get the hood on this beast!
