Car shows are the staple of modern day hot-rodding. During the summer months enthusiasts can catch several show a week if they are willing to do a bit of driving. This seems to be a recent development in the hot-rodding community. Historically it seems that there were far more drag races than car shows.

A guy could race all summer long but, historically, there were only a few formal car shows a year. Of course I say formal because everyone knows that anytime you have more than one guy with a classic or a custom at the same venue there is a car show going on, at least in someone’s mind.

As we find photos of shows from earlier eras, we will post them here.We will also post photos from the ongoing shows we are able to attend here, so visit often and see how the season starts to progress.
